Cinnamon and Sugar Soft Pretzels

Why Cinnamon and Sugar Soft Pretzels?

Why cinnamon and sugar soft pretzels? Well, personally I am not the biggest fan of pretzels with the huge chucks of salt on them. So I try and stick to cinnamon and sugar. While I do like salted pretzels sometimes, cinnamon and sugar is definitely my favorite!

Benefits Of Homemade.

You know the saying “homemade is healthier” right? Well, yes. In this case, you are not frying these, and they bake in the oven. So that means this homemade recipe is definitely healthier than many pretzels. These delicious pretzels are perfect for an afternoon snack, and definitely a favorite for parties!

The perfect cinnamon and sugar pretzels for cool days. These cinnamon and sugar pretzels will keep you and your taste buds warm all day!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water + 5 cups of water for boiling
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup baking soda (for the boiling)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon.

Instructions

1

Start by mixing the water, yeast, sugar, and salt in your stand mixer. Let your yeast rise for 5 minutes.

2

Once the yeast has risen, add in the flour. Mix the dough in your stand mixer until the dough has formed. Once the dough has formed, cover with a cloth and let the dough rise for 45 minutes.

3

After your dough has risen, start by placing 5 cups of water on the stove with the baking soda. Then preheat the oven to 425ºF, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then cut it into 12 equal pieces. Roll the dough into 12 inch long pieces. Then shape your dough into the shape you desire.

4

Then place your pretzels into the boiling water for about 20 seconds on each side. Then place your pretzels into your preheated oven to bake for 7 minutes. Then melt the butter and mix the cinnamon and sugar.

5

Once your pretzels come out of the oven spread the butter all over the pretzel and sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar over them. Then your pretzels are ready to be eaten.
